Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

No. You do not need a referral to access care with Nest & Nourish.Under current Medicare arrangements, a referral is not required to access privately practising endorsed midwifery services. If there are any Medicare eligibility requirements relating to rebates, these will always be discussed with you before your appointment so you understand any available benefits and expected out-of-pocket costs.

Do you come to my home?

Yes.All consultations are provided in the comfort of your own home. Home visits allow care to be personalised within your family's own environment and provide an opportunity for your partner, children and other support people to be involved if you wish.

Which areas do you service?

Nest & Nourish provides home visiting services throughout Mackay and surrounding districts.Travel fees apply for appointments outside the Mackay local area. Please refer to the Fees & Rebates page for current travel fees.

How long are appointments?

Appointments are tailored to your individual needs.Most consultations range from 20–90 minutes, with longer appointments available where clinically appropriate.

Can my partner or family attend appointments?

Absolutely.Nest & Nourish encourages partners, grandparents and other important support people to be involved whenever appropriate. Supporting the whole family is an important part of my philosophy of care.

Do you offer phone or video consultations?

Accepted Answer

Yes.Phone and video consultations are available for many pregnancy, postnatal and lactation concerns.For Medicare-eligible patients, eligible phone and video consultations can be bulk billed where appropriate.
